Harbour Lights B&B
overlooks this quaint little harbour, built in 1959 and today is
used by both fishing and ski boats and the harbour wall plays host
to many a keen angler
Some parts of the 14-km, sandy beach round the sweep of the bay
attract bathers, surfers and board sailors.
Eco quad bike
trails for the nature enthusiast are also available in the Agulhas
National Park. Enjoy an informative 4x4 coastal safari with trained
guide. Interesting day trips can be arranged using Harbour Lights
as a base. |

The Meisho Maru 38 lies 4km west of Agulhas.
One of over 125 wrecks along this 100 kilometre stretch of coastline
known as the "graveyard of ships"

Various artefacts collected from the wrecked ships along this coastline
have been placed in the Shipwreck museum in Breadasdorp.
The ocean is rich
in scuba diving wrecks with many to choose from. Rock angling,
hiking trails, bird watching and our coastal fynbos, our
indigenous floral kingdom, not found anywhere else in the world
and a memorable walk along the beach to Cape Agulhas, the
southernmost tip of Africa, where the Indian and Atlantic oceans
officially meet. |
